Lead Genetic Counselor - University Health System : Job Details

Responsible for screening and reviewing select germline genetic test orders. Must be able to assess the patient s clinical history and, when necessary, recommend alternative genetic testing based on the analysis of risk, benefit, and cost to the patient and/or Health System. Responsible for providing clinical consultation services and communicating results to physicians and other allied health professionals. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE Master of Science in Genetic Counseling with 10 years of experience required, 8 of which must be laboratory-relevant experience. LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATION Certified as a genetic counselor by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
