Job Description
The Lead Field Service Engineer performs engineering tasks related to installation, service, and commissioning of products, providing technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, including offshore and shipyard environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation and commissioning of drive, power, automation, or dynamic positioning systems.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues during site visits or at sea.
- Ensuring proper installation and commissioning, developing documentation, and executing customer training.
- Managing on-site projects, resolving customer issues, and identifying sales opportunities.
- Providing on-call support and assisting engineering teams with upgrade projects.
- Completing service reports and adhering to safety guidelines, with potential for extended hours and travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 85% on short notice.
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to obtain security clearance for DOD projects, physically fit for offshore work, and pass HUET and offshore survival training.
- Leadership qualities, customer-facing experience, engineering skills, and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work in construction environments with exposure to various conditions, using PPE as required.
- Proficiency with MS Office and technical tools.
