Role Overview:

The Lead Dietitian Specialist plays a vital role in the coordination, planning, and implementation of quality nutritional services to our patients. This important position involves conducting nutrition assessments, developing personalized nutritional plans, and being an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. In addition to direct patient care, you will also oversee administrative responsibilities, including staff training and program coordination.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and monitoring the nutritional status of patients on a weekly basis.
  • Formulating tailored nutritional plans to meet individual needs.
  • Demonstrating expertise in nutrition to help patients enhance their functioning levels.
  • Planning and facilitating nutritional therapy sessions for groups.
  • Supervising other registered dietitians within the facility.
  • Providing onsite coverage Monday through Friday.
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to ensure meal plans meet quality and nutritional standards.
  • Assisting in menu design to comply with dietary regulations.
  • Training new dietitians and supporting their development at other Monte Nido locations.
  • Leading virtual training sessions for nutrition staff and clinical teams.
  • Conducting quarterly chart audits to ensure clinical compliance and integrity.
  • Engaging with patients during meal time, participating in their recovery process.
  • Documenting patient information clearly and accurately in compliance with facility policies.
  • Participating in staff meetings and committees, and staying active in continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and fostering a warm, supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
  • Participating in marketing initiatives and community outreach as needed.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on nutrition.
    • Preferred experience in eating disorder or psychiatric care.
    • Licensed Registered Dietitian.
    • Valid CPR certification, as required by state regulations.
    • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
