1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective: Under minimal supervision and within the Costing Management team, the Product Line Costing Leader is responsible for costing the Recurring Cost for parts, assemblies and overall seats. This role supports the Sales team with RFQ processes and helps the organization achieve cost targets by collaborating with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Program teams. The role also drives continuous cost improvements using root cause and corrective action processes.
2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Main responsibilities include leading cost reduction activities, optimizing parts for the full product line, providing recurring cost estimates for bids and projects, creating standardized parametric cost models, and supporting change control activities with cost impact assessments.
Qualifications
Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
