1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)

Objective: Under minimal supervision and within the Costing Management team, the Product Line Costing Leader is responsible for costing the Recurring Cost for parts, assemblies and overall seats. This role supports the Sales team with RFQ processes and helps the organization achieve cost targets by collaborating with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Program teams. The role also drives continuous cost improvements using root cause and corrective action processes.

2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

Main responsibilities include leading cost reduction activities, optimizing parts for the full product line, providing recurring cost estimates for bids and projects, creating standardized parametric cost models, and supporting change control activities with cost impact assessments.

Qualifications

• Education & Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Manufacturing Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (minimum 6 years).
• Work Experience: Over 10 years in manufacturing, costing, project or program management; knowledge of financial principles; experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing preferred; familiarity with design-to-cost methodologies is a plus.
• Professional Skills: Excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, ability to review technical documents, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Behavioral Skills: Initiative, responsibility, adaptability, autonomy, relationship-building, creativity, leadership, team collaboration, customer focus, multi-tasking.
• Desirable: Lean-Sigma certification.

Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
