Lead Compliance Specialist

The Lead Compliance Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the supervision of the Compliance team under the direction of the Compliance Supervisor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, delegating tasks to team members and assisting with questions / concerns that arise in the completion of their responsibilities. In addition, the Lead Compliance Specialist will also be responsible for assisting with KPIs reports, monthly reviews, external and audits, licensing requests, supervising the day-to-day activities of the Compliance agents, and assisting the Compliance Supervisor with ad hoc projects as requested.

Key responsibilities include: monitoring team member collection and customer service calls and reporting violations to leadership; facilitating internal and external audits, which may include providing supporting documentation and assistance with audit inquiries; reporting non-conformities discovered during internal monitoring and/or external audits to leadership; collecting and analyzing system data for key performance indicators and trend analysis reports; researching applicable regulations and how they impact current/future processes and presenting findings to leadership; drafting/revising department policies, department procedures and consumer communications utilized by HOA A/R, Loan Servicing and Collections department; assisting with tracking of changes to department forms, consumer facing communications, policies, procedures and training material; assisting with training and testing of employees knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures; and assisting with collection and loan servicing licensing efforts including submission of initial applications and completion of renewals.

Key skills include: ability to work well under deadlines and regulatory / client demands; excellent follow-up with completing projects in a timely fashion and researching underlying discrepancies; experience researching regulatory requirements and drafting policies to meet regulatory requirements; and ability to produce exceptional written communications.

Experience required includes: associates degree; knowledge of FDCPA, UDAAP, FCRA; and 1-3 years related experience.
