JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Campus Monitor supervises students as well as campus monitors. The position is approximately 40% project and people supervision, with the other 60% comprising campus monitor duties and responsibilities, which include monitoring and supporting students during lunch and passing breaks to ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment conducive to student interaction and learning. Upholds the mission and values established by Aspire Public Schools. Reports to Site Principal and works closely with other site staff.

Project and People Supervision
Schedule campus monitor assignmentsProvide supervision, oversight, and feedback to campus monitorsConfer with the principal regarding updates/issues with campus monitor staffEnsure campus monitors have access to ongoing professional development opportunitiesManage equipment and playground safety dailyOngoing Activities
Supervise students during lunch / recess and passing periods, including enforcing school rules, school boundaries, and school behavior expectationsEnsure a safe environment in the lunchroom, school grounds and/or parking lotWork with other school staff to ensure sufficient level of supervision coverage in all areas of the lunch room, school yards, and parking lotHelp mediate and resolve conflicts between studentsServe as primary responder for behavior issues and needsAdminister first aid as neededIdentify any major security or safety hazards and major repair needs in the recess area and ensures safety rules are followedComplete accident reports and manage computer logsAdditional:

High School Diploma or equivalence plus some college experienceFirst Aid and valid CPR trainingOngoing behavior management / de-escalation and SPED training demonstrating general knowledge of how to support all studentsExperience required:
2 - 3 years experience observing and supervising K-12 children1 + years supervisory experience preferredPhysical requirements:
Stand, walk or bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull.
