Your Role as a School CounselorSupervise and mentor members of the counseling team.Conduct prescribed individual and group counseling sessions in a positive, therapeutic manner.Develop and implement individual education plan (IEP) goals individualized to the student while developing and updating behavior/treatment plan.Maintain student confidentiality per agency policy. FERPA/HIPAA privacy rule and regulation, and student/ counselor confidentiality.Oversee therapeutic confidentiality between staff and students and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the relationshipTherapeutic Counseling - Lead individual and group counseling sessions using positive, evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support student growth.Individualized Planning - Develop and implement personalized IEP goals and behavior/treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.Confidentiality Compliance - Uphold strict student confidentiality in alignment with agency policy, FERPA/HIPAA regulations, and professional ethics.Staff Collaboration - Foster strong, confidential therapeutic relationships between staff and students while offering recommendations for improvement.Progress Documentation - Maintain daily service logs aligned with IEP goals and ensure timely completion of required reports.Consistent Routine - Work a steady weekday schedule aligned with the school calendar-no nights or weekends required.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
