Lead Back-End Developer - Maximus : Job Details

Maximus is excited to invite applications for the role of Lead Back-End Developer. In this position, you will leverage your extensive back-end development expertise to contribute to key projects designed to enhance our technical capabilities and improve efficiency.

Please note: This position is contingent upon the award of the contract and requires an active Secret Security clearance or higher. While remote work is available, occasional paid travel to client locations in San Antonio, Texas, or Baltimore, Maryland may be required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise and analytical skills to support process improvement and specialized studies.
• Develop and document requirements, functional architectures, and procedures.
• Engineer back-end designs and develop architectures for system capabilities and integrations.
• Create and optimize databases and data models.
• Participate in RESTful API development and modification.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• 10 years of experience in software development, including object-oriented and script-based languages.
• 5 years of recent experience in back-end web design and development.
• Hands-on experience with Python and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in relational databases, RESTful API development, and data integration.
• Experience with bug tracking software, specifically Jira.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and developing in cloud environments, including AWS.
• 3 years of experience with Kubernetes and RedHat Linux.

Preferred Skills:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with DoD software development and Agile Test-Driven development.
• Experience in integrating data across classified and unclassified application deployments.
