Located in the Excelsior neighborhood, SFCJL includes the Frank Residences assisted living and memory care, the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, and a specialized psychiatric unit, serving over 2,500 residents annually.

Position Overview

The Lead Admissions Coordinator oversees the admissions process, manages the admissions team, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet occupancy goals and ensure excellent customer service. This role reports to the Director of Admissions and works with various departments to optimize the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the admissions department, including applications, assessments, and insurance verifications.
  • Build relationships with community providers and conduct outreach efforts.
  • Develop and evaluate admissions policies and workflows.
  • Utilize and optimize CRM and other healthcare technologies.
  • Analyze admissions data and prepare performance reports.
  • Lead, train, and supervise the admissions team.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to achieve occupancy targets.
  • Maintain referral relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee the Admissions and Intake Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with nursing, social services, and other departments for seamless admissions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA.
  • Identify training needs and coach team members.
Qualifications Required
  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
  • Preferred: LVN/RN license.
  • Minimum 5 years in admissions or related field, with 2+ years in leadership.
  • Knowledge of healthcare admissions and insurance processes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM, EMR, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities confidentially.
Qualifications Preferred
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care admissions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and HIPAA.
  • Experience in a non-profit healthcare setting.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $115,000
