Law Clerk I - 00100 LEIDOS : Job Details

Leidos is looking for a Law Clerk to join our Washington, DC team.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Works under the supervision of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor.
• Performs legal research for trial staff, ranging from simple to moderately complex cases.
• Assists in preparing legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memoranda, reviewing documents for relevance and privilege, and supporting attorneys throughout litigation.
• Reviews documents for relevance and privilege.
• Conducts research in statutory, regulatory, and case law.
• Identifies relevant issues in complex fact patterns.

Required Qualifications :

• Law degree or current attendance at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study completed, or six years of equivalent legal training or experience. Equivalent education may be substituted.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with familiarity with legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Proficiency with computer applications including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
• Experience with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Knowledge of Bluebook citations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with Relativity is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
• Trial experience is advantageous.
• Active Public Trust Clearance is preferred.

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act with a pay rate of $38.77/hr. In 2025, Leidos was recognized by the Ethisphere Institute for the eighth consecutive year.
