The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens for youth and staff. In addition to laundry services, the Laundry Attendant will support environmental services by assisting in the routine cleaning and upkeep of shared interior facility areas. This role contributes to the overall hygiene, health, and appearance of the facility and collaborates with the facilities team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.Key Responsibilities:Laundry Services* Wash, dry, and fold youth clothing according to organizational procedures.* Clean and launder all linens, towels, aprons, blankets, and other textiles.* Sanitize and maintain laundry equipment regularly to ensure cleanliness and functionality.* Organize laundry storage areas and ensure items are properly labeled and stored.* Assist in organizing and tracking client personal storage items.* Identify, log, and report lost, missing, or damaged items.* Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies and notify the Site Manager when restocking is needed.* Adhere to infection control protocols and laundry best practices.Environmental Services* Perform routine cleaning of common indoor areas including hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and staff break rooms.* Disinfect high-touch surfaces, refill dispensers, and ensure adequate cleanliness and sanitization.* Sweep, mop, and vacuum interior floors as needed.* Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from indoor areas.* Assist in room turnover and cleanliness of communal spaces after use.* Report maintenance or safety issues to the Site Manager.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent* Prior experience in laundry services, housekeeping, or janitorial work preferred.* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.* Detail-oriented with good time management skills.* Ability to handle potentially sensitive or confidential items with care and discretion.About The Centers' H.O.P.E.
