SUMMARY: This position is responsible for establishing, maintaining and exceeding customer expectations, ensuring job profitability through preparation of competitive proposals, efficiently managing multiple landscape crews and maintaining the quality standards of A Safe Haven Landscaping.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary contact for all maintenance and enhancement activities.
- Develops and maintains relationships with client for all projects and services.
- Identifies and exceeds client expectations through one-on-one meetings with customers.
- Prepares proposals; serves as the primary project manager for all activities; assists with project budgets.
- Processes timely billing and job costing data to maximize labor and efficiencies.
- Develops a quality production team through leadership and hands-on crew training.
- Manages and develops staff; monitors labor hours, and production schedules.
- Procures Materials and Equipment, and coordination of sub-contractors when needed.
- Conducts training for installation crews- project planning, scheduling and technical skills.
- Establishes crew accountability for quality, production standards.
- Evaluates performance and prepare performance reviews as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises 15-20 employees within the Landscaping department(s).
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
- State pesticide applicator's license must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
- Computer skills required: Accounting Software (QuickBooks); Internet Software; Payroll Systems; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Contract Management Systems; Order Processing Systems; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); and Presentation software (PowerPoint).
- Other skills required:
- 5+ years supervisor experience in Landscape Maintenance or a related field is required.
- Bachelors in related field preferred.
