We are seeking a Partner-level attorney with deep experience in real estate land use and/or transactional matters, along with a portable book of business, to join our highly regarded Real Estate & Land Use practice group. This is a unique opportunity to help lead and grow our presence in the Pittsburgh market while collaborating with a strong regional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on a range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, entitlements, and development matters at the local and state level.
  • Handle complex permitting, rezoning, site planning, and development agreement negotiations.
  • Represent clients before municipal boards, zoning hearing boards, and planning commissions.
  • Collaborate with internal firm resources across related practice areas (environmental, construction, litigation, tax).
  • Maintain and grow client relationships and play an active role in business development.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to associates and junior attorneys within the practice group.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in Pennsylvania required.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in real estate and land use law
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex commercial real estate matters independently.
  • Portable book of business required (ideally $500K+).
  • Strong ties to the Pittsburgh market or interest in developing a presence there.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to client service, collaboration, and community engagement.
