Winnebago Towableshas an immediate need for an experienced candidate to fill a Lamination Plant Manager position. This position will be based in Middlebury, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all plant operations in a manner that prioritizes employee safety and customer quality.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and takes immediate action when an unsafe situation occurs. Enforces compliance with all safety rules and regulations and takes prompt effective action concerning any potential safety hazard.
  • Plan, organize and direct all daily operations with a mindset to deliver short- and long-term objectives.
  • Select new employees to staff production line as appropriate.
  • Supervises schedules, directs and maximizes the effectiveness of the assigned Group Leads.
  • Evaluates work performance of assigned personnel on a continuing basis offering constructive criticism, training, or guidance as necessary.
  • Provides training as necessary, answer questions, and/or resolves work-related problems of assigned personnel to keep production at the required level of quality and quantity.
  • Takes prompt, positive action regarding personnel problems as they occur.
  • Ensure material and equipment does not get damaged. When necessary, investigates cause of damage, and completes corrective action to prevent future incidents.
  • Assures that production in the assigned area(s) is performed in accordance with approved blueprints, assembly schedules, bills of material, code requirements, or other approved sources; that quality standards are observed; and that idle time, scrap, absenteeism, and employee turnover are minimized.
  • Keeps relevant personnel promptly informed of changes or new developments as they occur.
  • Assures the adequacy of the supply of parts, materials, tools, and/or equipment for the assigned area(s).
  • Continually evaluates all assigned work activities as a basis for changes or improvements to improve quality, increase production, and/or reduce cost.
  • Participates in preparation of operating budgets for the assigned area(s) and conducts operations within budget or has valid reasons for significant variations.
  • Assures that all production, storage, and/or work areas are maintained in a neat, clean, orderly condition to facilitate safety, efficiency, and employee morale.
  • Prepares and submits accurate reports as needed.

Knowledge & skills

  • Experience in RV or like manufacturing required
  • Lamination, Routing and Welding experience preferred
  • Strong operations background and knowledge of OSHA regulations
