The YMCA is looking to hire Basketball staff that will coach children ages 7-15 years of age. Playing experience in Basketball and knowledge of the game are essential to coaching this class. The Basketball staff are responsible for maintenance of court, supervision of participants and related tasks as assigned to. Individual must have the capacity and experience to work with kids. Classes are weekday evenings (4:15pm-8:45pm) and Sundays (8:30am-4pm).Responsibilities

• Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields.
• Setup and remove sports equipment.
• Register sports participants, check in teams/players.
• Maintain/distribute paperwork.
• Supervise program and report all incidents to supervisor.
• Responsible for supporting group, private, semi private, clinics, leagues, and camps for children.
• Act as Official/Scorekeeper.
• Officiate sports competition
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Certification

• Must be 16 with a valid work permit. Experience in customer service preferred.
• Must understand developmental learning.
• Must be able to work with children ages 7 to 15 years old.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer and results orientation.
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
