The Laborer needs to be flexible and willing to learn a range of tasks required by each project scope. These duties can include material handling, fabrication work, assembly work, painting, cleaning and more. The Laborer must understand written and verbal instruction.Duties & ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the Quality Assurance ProgramUse hand and power tools to clean and prep steelMaterial handlingRead and understand work orders and project task codesMix and prepare paint coatingsApply paints and coatings in accordance with procedures and manufacturer's instructionsAccurately record quality data on cleaning and coating reportsCleaning and maintaining the factory work areas and bathroomsPerforming other duties as assignedUnderstand and follow all workplace safety rules and the safe operation of tools and equipment when applicableOther duties as assignedRequirements:RequirementsAbility to use a range of hand and power toolsAbility to read and understand product labels and follow directions for paints, solvents and other related productsAbility to reach, bend, crawl, stoop and lift up to 25 lbs. with no restrictions (see physical requirements below)Ability to be fitted for and use a respirator when requiredAbility to be self-directed, requiring little or no supervisionAbility to work well with others and participate as a team member when appropriateQualificationsHigh school diploma, general education degree or vocational degreePrevious construction, manufacturing, or mechanical experienceCompensation$22.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.There are shift differentials for Swing Shift and Weekend ShiftBenefitsHealth Benefits, including medical, dental and visionCompany paid and supplemental life insuranceShort-term disabilityLong-term disabilityAdditional voluntary benefitsPaid vacation, paid sick leave and paid holidays401(k) retirement plan, with employer matchEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramApplicant NotesApplicants must provide complete work history with employer references for last three to five yearsAll employees are subject to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment and random drug testing. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment.
