East Stroudsburg University is hiring a Laborer! Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.As the Laborer, you will need to think creatively and be comfortable transporting various supplies or equipment across the ESU campus. You will be an active member of the Facilities Management team and will work closely with the Manager of Energy & Plant services to provide comprehensive assistance to the ground crew. To be successful in this role, you must detail-oriented, adaptable and able to work independently.Your normal hours will be Thursday to Monday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, but you may have to flex your schedule from time to time based on the needs of the business to be a true Laborer. When our team shows up for work, they are energized and motivated to succeed - all while being the most crucial piece to keeping the ESU operations humming.What Will I Do At ESU? (AKA Essential Duties)* Move furniture and supplies to and from campus offices, classrooms, residential halls, apartments, and suites.* Assist ground crew as needed with snow removal, by shoveling snow or usage of snow blowers and spreading calcium.* Load and unload trucks with supplies and other equipment.* Participate in setting up tables, chairs, stages, canopies, or any other items for special events both indoors and outdoors.* Operate motor vehicles up to 2.5 tons, forklifts, and campus vehicles.
