Laborer - Geotemps / Geopros : Job Details

Geotemps, Inc. Is seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our underground mining team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the removal and installation of underground utilities, grouting MAI bolts, and torquing MAI bolts to 150-foot pounds. Key Responsibilities:

• Removal and Installation of Underground Utilities: Safely and efficiently remove and install various underground utility systems within the mining environment.
• Grouting MAI Bolts: Apply grout to MAI bolts to ensure stability and secure installation in underground settings.
• Torquing MAI Bolts: Use appropriate tools to torque MAI bolts to a specified 150-foot pounds, ensuring proper installation and safety.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in underground mining or construction preferred.
• Ability to operate relevant tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks in challenging conditions.

Work Environment:

• Underground work in various conditions, including confined spaces and varying temperatures.
• Physical demands including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements:

• Surface & Underground MSHA Certification: Must possess a valid surface & Underground Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
• Drug Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Background Check: Must pass a background check.
• Physical Test: Must pass a physical fitness test to ensure the ability to perform manual labor tasks in challenging conditions.
• Schedule: Must be able to work a rotational schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off, with 12-hour shifts. This includes one week of day shifts followed by one week of night shifts.
• Pay rate: $30 per hour
