IMC Electrical is currently seeking dependable and motivated laborers to join our team for a major electrical project at NAS Pensacola. Role Overview:
Performs a variety of physical tasks to support daily operations, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and preparing job sites, assisting skilled tradespeople, and following all site safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Cleans and prepares construction or job sites by removing debris and hazards
- Operates hand and power tools as directed
- Follows instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople
- Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition
- Digs trenches, rakes and removes dirt, sets up scaffolding, and performs other manual tasks as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a laborer or in a similar role is a plus
Capabilities:
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- Knowledgeable of safety protocols and ability to address safety hazards
- Reliable and punctual
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be able to lift between 50-100 pounds.
Other:
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. All candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen, and obtain base access. Must have a valid driver's license.
