The Quality Assurance Laboratory Tester, Wood River Refinery performs processed and finished product testing using approved methods. The Laboratory Tester is also part of the Emergency Response Team. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
The base pay range for this position is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The starting rate is $42.55 per hour with increases each year until reaching the 3 year fully qualified rate of $51.57 per hour. This position has a 7.5% Variable Cash Incentive Program target, 8% 401k match, and Cash Balance Account pension.
