Laboratory Technician, Part Time - Jamestown Community College : Job Details

Part-time, 15 hours/week. This position supports the operations of science and nursing laboratories for multiple class sections of introductory biology, chemistry, and nursing on the Cattaraugus County Campus. Responsibilities include assisting the Laboratory Coordinator with set up and take down of labs, maintenance of laboratory equipment, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, and usage of proper safety protocols in the lab environment. Qualifications: Required: Academic background in biology and/or chemistry laboratory courses with a minimum of an associate degree in biology, chemistry, laboratory technology, or related field. Able to operate basic laboratory equipment. Familiarity with Microsoft and Google software. Attention to detail and accuracy, initiative and ability to work independently and interdependently, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service is imperative.
