Laboratory Technician - Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom : Job Details

Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Naperville, IL

• Onsite M – F 8 a – 5 p
• $24/hr
• 1 year contract (potential to extend or convert to perm)

Responsibilities:

• Document all data and results in an organized fashion
• Conduct sample preparation and analyses of samples collected from various sources
• Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines
• Work in compliance with laboratory safety standards leveraging BE SAFE practices in all work.
• Prepare detailed reports of laboratory results and findings
• Responsible for conducting laboratory analysis (hands on working on the bench).
• Assist with the maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Understand and keep current with all laboratory safety and reporting techniques.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

BA/BS Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, (STEM)

Skills:

Ability to work in lab for extended periods of time and manage simultaneous timelines

Support collaborative nature of team projects.

Excellent time management to deliver on time solutions

Interest in sharpening problem solving skills

Willingness to undergo respiratory fit test

Preferred:

Experience with inorganic nanotechnology

Experience with inorganic/water testing basic analysis

Good Lab Practices to ensure confidence in result
