Laboratory Technician - Kelly Services : Job Details

Kelly is hiring an Associate Laboratory Technician with our prestigious client based out in Midland, MI 48674.

Title: Associate Laboratory Technician

Location: Midland, MI 48674. (Onsite)

8 AM to 5 PM – 5 days a week

11-month contract

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, in a technical field

• Must have strong time management and organization skills

• Able to manage multiple tasks/ projects concurrently

• Spreadsheet and word processing skills (MS Office)

• Fluency in English language- written and oral communication skills

• Ability to learn and apply new skills

• Work in teams for achieving common goal

• Ability to work with construction tools such as saws, power equipment, etc.

• Ability to lift moderate weights up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience (2-4 years) in MATERIALS lab testing

• Proficiency in lab equipment such as Instron

Responsibilities:

• Learn quickly to become proficient in a wide range of tests and processes

• Perform standard testing independently

• Collect and compile data from tests. Able to check data and flag noteworthy patterns or observations to researcher. Make recommendations to broader project team based on test results.

• Generate data reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Accountable for own contributions in a timely manner

• Work well in a team

• Understand different viewpoints and collaborate with diverse teams

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with team and customers

• Be a thought partner to develop effective test/ process research plan

• Travel for production trials or special testing at external sites

• Contribute to lab improvements and maintenance (housekeeping, waste disposal, etc.)

• May be responsible for maintaining, verifying and calibrating lab equipment

• Use construction tools- e.g. table saws, band saws and hand-held power tools for sample preparation
