Job Summary
The Technician is responsible for the creation, handling, and movement of physical seed samples, as well as performing designated seed quality analyses. This role provides critical support in the laboratory and greenhouse by preparing buffers and reagents, assisting with seed health testing, and conducting related experimental work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare buffers and reagents for laboratory use.
- Maintain indicator plants and conduct grow-out assays.
- Assist with seed health testing and related laboratory activities.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain laboratory and greenhouse equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Management Standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and multicultural environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- 1–3 years of relevant laboratory or agricultural experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
