Laboratory Technician - Cleveland-Cliffs : Job Details

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Laboratory Technician at our Rockport Works operation. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing multiple required tests on materials per the Quality Standard Operating Procedures (QSOP). Summary of Responsibilities:Conducts self in a manner that sets a high standard of excellence for safety performance. Attends daily safety meetings, toolbox talk and quality meetings. Performs safety and quality observations. Follows all JSHAs and QSOPs for each test as required. Gathers samples from Sample Tech and/or picks up the analytical testing samples from the main pot and returns to the lab. Identifies which materials need tested and performs oldest material first or as directed by the Laboratory Leader. Completes mechanical/chemical testing(tensile, strength, end values, elongations, grain structure, inner corrosions, carbon-sulfur, oxygen testing, chromate and phosphates)Records and enters results into Labware and/or a...Laboratory Technician, Technician, Laboratory, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Materials
