Title: Laboratory Equipment Technician
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Pay $30-44/hr
Shift: M-F 10am-4pm

Job Summary:
A cleanroom lab facility is seeking a Lab Technician to support day-to-day operations and maintain nanofabrication equipment used for quantum device research. The role involves operating, troubleshooting, and repairing deposition, etching, and imaging systems, performing preventative maintenance, and training researchers on equipment use.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain nanofabrication equipment (e.g., PECVD, ALD, PVD, RIE, SEM).
Perform routine checks, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and vacuum systems.
Document performance, repairs, and create/update SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
Coordinate vendor services and ensure minimal equipment downtime.
Train lab users on equipment and ensure compliance with cleanroom and safety protocols.
Assist with installation of new equipment and upkeep of lab supplies and computer systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in engineering/science or 2+ years technical trade school; basic computer troubleshooting skills.
2+ years' experience in equipment operation, maintenance, or repair (cleanroom/nanofabrication preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, maintain organized data, and communicate effectively.
Must work on-site (10 AM-4 PM) with flexibility for evenings/weekends.
Ability to lift 20 lbs and follow cleanroom safety protocols.
