Laboratory Technician - BLUESTONE HEALTH CENTER : Job Details

Bluestone Health Association Inc is a federally qualified health center dedicated to providing high quality healthcare services to underserved communities.

We are currently seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory procedures and tests to support the diagnostic and treatment process under the supervision of healthcare providers.

Job Overview:

• Full-Time
• On-Site
• Multiple locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, etc.) accurately and efficiently.
• Perform routine laboratory testing and analyze results according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test results and patient records.
• Ensure all lab equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and universal precautions
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Communicate test results to providers in a timely and confidential manner.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering pf lab supplies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
• Certification (ASCP, AMT or equivalent) preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
