This position comes with a full suite of benefits and competitive pay!Base Pay: $41,600-$47,000/yr.Type: Direct HireJob Summary: The Microbiology Technician participates in routine laboratory processes and laboratory testing to support the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.Job Responsibilities:

• Supports equipment qualifications, re-qualifications and associated activities
• Follows established test schedule
• Reviews data and prepares reports for standard testing.
• Assists with execution of GMP protocols and reports, including data collection
• Performs advanced laboratory techniques with scientist supervision
• Performs data review of standard test related documentation
• Provides data trending and analysis of standard testing.
• Interpretation of standard test results.
• Supports method development, validation
• Participates in proficiency testing for standard methods
• Participates in the daily activities, including testing, associated with sterilization of materials for testing and general support to the Microbiology Department
• Clean labware as needed
• Participates in equipment validation/qualification
• Notifies appropriate individuals when maintenance of the sterilizer and related equipment is needed

Job Qualifications:

• B.S Degree in Biology or Microbiology, required
• 4 years of experience as a microbiology laboratory technician with an understanding in the sterilization process, validation support, laboratory testing in highly regulated pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing laboratory environments, required.
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior experience in highly-regulated manufacturing lab environments
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
