Laboratory Support Engineer

Great opportunity for a Field Service Engineer, Chemist turned engineer, or electro mechanical engineer with great troubleshooting skills! We are currently recruiting a hybrid role for an Engineer in Connecticut. You will split your time between onsite (75%) and field based (25%) work with customers providing outstanding customer support – please note there is ZERO design work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help customers remotely diagnose hardware and software problems and advise on repairs
• Provide onsite support for installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of laboratory instrumentation
• Deliver outstanding customer support by providing customers with training and technical support for installed instruments
• Document and report all repairs, product failures, design change recommendations, and other paperwork in a timely fashion

Candidate Qualifications

• 2+ years working with complex instrumentation (laboratory equipment experience is essential) performing installs, preventative maintenance, and repair work
• Electromechanical aptitude with a thorough and logical troubleshooting style
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to keep cool under pressure

Salary:

• $70-90K annual salary
