Laboratory Production Assistant - EdenRoc Sciences : Job Details

Delavie Sciences, LLC is currently looking for a Laboratory Production Microbiologist Assistant to join its laboratory located in Worcester, MA. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with great communication and troubleshooting skills. A strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and a strong team mentality are essential. The successful candidate would help a small team of scientists prepare and run a variety of processing protocols for the manufacturing of various products. The successful candidate would be responsible for preparing supplies and performing standard operating techniques necessary for day-to-day operations. They will also be helping senior scientists perform assays as needed. The successful candidate is expected to have an AS or BS in a life science discipline. The candidate should have experience or willingness to learn how to use spectrophotometers, centrifuges, lyophilizers, autoclaves, pH meters, and other standard laboratory equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• AS or BS in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, microbiology, food science, molecular biology, etc..).
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must pass a background check and will be subjected to a drug test prior to hire.
• Motivated to learn new techniques and processes.
• An individual who is independent, self-directed, and can perform repetitive processing techniques.

The qualifications that will get your resume a closer look are:

• Experience with antimicrobial testing, serial dilutions, MPN enumeration, plate counts, and preparing all types of media.
• Proper technique and experience working in a BSL2 laboratory setting.
• Adequate use of programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, R, and GraphPad.
