This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the proper collection and handling of blood samples. Key Details: - Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM, Monday to Friday)- Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in phlebotomy- EMR Experience: Athena EMR experience preferred- Certifications: Valid phlebotomy certification (temporary or pending licenses accepted) Responsibilities: - Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner- Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records within the electronic medical record system- Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures- Communicate effectively with patients to explain the procedure and alleviate any concerns- Assist with additional lab tasks as needed Qualifications: - At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience- Familiarity with Athena EMR preferred- Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with patients- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- Must meet the requirements for background checks as per facility policy Scheduling and Working Environment: - Expect to work some holidays- Ability to maintain minimal requests for time off during the assignment- Orientation will include mandatory modules, which must be completed within the first 30 daysJoin our exceptional team and contribute to impactful patient care in our supportive working environment!At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
