Location: Emeryville, CA. This position is on-site. Responsibilities

• Lab Operations: Maintain smooth daily lab function, enforce and improve safety and compliance protocols including SDS, managing waste streams, cleaning schedules, and training laboratory staff. Familiar with BSL-2 requirements
• Equipment QC: Assist with equipment maintenance including coordination of instrument maintenance, repairs, qualification, and calibration.
• Site-wide Receiving: Oversee all incoming shipments, ensuring accurate logging and timely distribution across departments.
• Warehouse Oversight: Support inventory management, organization, and material deliveries.
• Facilities Support: Coordinate with facilities on maintenance, repairs, and lab infrastructure needs.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or Material Science preferred; Associate's degree accepted with relevant experience. Non-scientific degrees considered with prior lab management experience.
• 2+ years experience in a life sciences or laboratory environment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of lab workflows, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Adaptable, collaborative, and quick to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this full-time position is between $111,000 - $116,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications.
