Laboratory Manager - Protouch Staffing : Job Details

Manager, Laboratory Services Schedule: Full-Time (80 hours per 2-week pay period) Shift: Monday-Friday, Day Shift Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards.
• Perform competency checks, education, registry, and training documentation.
• Coordinate and administer performance improvement initiatives and indicator tracking.
• Review, update, and communicate laboratory policies and dashboards.
• Investigate, validate, and implement new technologies.
• Administer the Proficiency Testing Program and assist with investigations of unsatisfactory results.
• Respond to occurrence reports, customer feedback, and conduct investigations.
• Serve on interdepartmental committees.
• Plan staffing needs, interview, hire, and onboard new team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and revise job descriptions as needed.
• Resolve day-to-day operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee onboarding activities (system access, orientation, keycards).
• Promote efficient use of systems, personnel, and equipment.
• Assist with budgeting and prepare financial impact reports.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science required.
• 3-5 years of laboratory leadership experience required.
• Multi-hospital experience preferred.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.

Certifications:

• ASCP certification preferred.

Supervision:

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Supervises Laboratory Partners.

Physical & Vision Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/move up to 20 lbs.
• Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
