Laboratory Manager Location: Alexandria, LA Schedule: Full-time • Days Salary Range: $33.12 – $49.68 per hour (based on years of experience) Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (2-year commitment) Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Overview: A respected healthcare facility in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee both the Laboratory and Phlebotomy Departments. This role is critical to maintaining the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. With over 75 FTEs and robust department support, this opportunity is ideal for a certified laboratory professional with leadership experience ready to take the next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational direction for the clinical laboratory and phlebotomy departments

  • Coordinate and oversee education, quality assurance, compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements

  • Assist the Director in implementing strategic goals, performance improvement, and departmental alignment

  • Maintain high ethical and professional standards aligned with the hospital's mission and values

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hospital-based clinical laboratory experience (MLT or MT background) required

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related biological/chemical science required

  • Must possess (or be eligible for) ASCP or equivalent certification (MT, MLS, BB, H, M, I, or C)

  • Department oversight includes: Laboratory and Phlebotomy Services

  • Reports to: Director of Laboratory Services

  • Total Staff Supervised: Approx. 75 FTEs
