The CLS will ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with established laboratory standards in a fast-paced clinical environment. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of diagnostic laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, chemistry, immunology, and blood banking.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Analyze and validate test results, ensuring accuracy and prompt reporting to healthcare providers.
• Follow established procedures for specimen collection, labeling, processing, and storage.
• Perform quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing.
• Document all testing and quality control activities accurately in the laboratory information system (LIS).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Current CLS license as required by the state of practice.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety, OSHA, and CLIA regulations.
