Duties include receiving and labeling clinical specimens such as stool, blood, urine, and sputum in a laboratory; data entry in the laboratory information system; preparing and processing specimens for tests and analysis according to standardized procedures; preparing culture media, chemical reagents and sterile solutions; and staining and preparing slides for examinations.
