Lab Technician - Apex Systems : Job Details

We are seeking a laboratory technician to fill a temporary vacancy in our Quality Assurance Lab. This position would involve taking samples from the plant and performing standard analyses to ensure a good quality product. The position would be on a rotating shift as our QA lab runs 24 hours/day to support the operations of the plant.

Responsibilities include:

• Collect various product samples from plant
• Follow standard procedures, perform required analytical tests on samples
• Perform quality control testing on composite samples of railcars and overseas shipping containers
• Enter analytical results into quality reporting database in accurate and timely manner
• Perform required instrument maintenance and ISO Quality Management System required calibrations on laboratory instruments
• Perform Mercury Porosimetry, X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), BET surface Area Analysis, and other powder characterization tests
• Use SAP to track QA results and shipments
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in the laboratory
