LAB TECHNICIAN

Description

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for analysis of raw materials using the FTIR, pH meter, pycnometer, melting point apparatus, etc. and completion of required documentation.

Job Functions

• The employee is responsible for analysis of bulk product and finished product using the viscometer, pH meter, pycnometer, penetrometer, etc. and completion of required documentation

• The employee issues the release documentation for raw material and bulk product

• The employee performs Job Receipt and Job Closure

• The employee conducts a laboratory audit of the production lines and completion of required documentation

• The employee performs calibration on all equipment

• The employee reviews all formulas prior to issuance to production

• Labeling of incoming raw materials with GHS labels

Requirements

• B.S degree in Science

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

• To perform this position, the employee must be able to read and write English, and perform mathematical calculations
