Lab Technician - Vector Technical : Job Details

Sample Preparation: Section (cut) sample parts using a manual abrasive saw. Mount, sand, and polish specimens for metallurgical analysis. Testing & Analysis: Perform Archimedes density measurements. Conduct metallurgical micrograph analysis, including grain size and microstructure evaluation. Perform hardness testing using appropriate equipment and standards. Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document test results in laboratory reports. Compile and organize data into spreadsheets or other formats as requested by engineering staff. Qualifications: Associate degree or technical certification in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred. 13 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with metallographic preparation techniques and testing methods. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry.
