JOB TITLE: Lab Operations Specialist – Supply Chain Team

LOCATION: Cambridge, MA

SALARY RANGE: $73,000 to $92,000. The midpoint of the range is $84,000. The ideal candidate would be hired at or around the midpoint.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Lab Operations Specialist will be a member of Aurion's Supply Chain Team, responsible for ensuring supply continuity and smooth operations of our research lab in Cambridge, MA. They will manage multiple inventories that service various needs of our research and procure necessary supplies in accordance with supply plans. This individual will be vital in assuring that Aurion's lab functions at the highest capacity. In addition to their inventory management duties, they will work in tandem with the research team to ensure that cold chain storage is managed appropriately and monitored effectively.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations Oversight: Maintain an organized, safe and clean lab environment, while ensuring adequate supply of critical raw materials for research
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage systems for reagent, chemical and consumable inventory tracking and procurement
  • Process Improvement: Actively seek out cost- and time-saving opportunities for scientists and operators
  • Compliance: Ensure all material management activities comply with industry standards and GMP practices where applicable
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in lab operations, materials management, or equivalent preferably within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven experience working with multiple parties to complete tasks, including managing competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in a lab and under GRP guidelines
  • Experience working with cellular therapy products, and/or in eye banking a plus
