Job Description SummaryPOSITION SUMMARY:This position is monitoring the lab spaces and some equipment. The student will also perform various duties such as assist with student related events such as Preview Day and Accepted Student Day, back up and assist the social media student worker and engage in industry relations, and various lab monitor duties as needed.
The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Maintain the 3D printer functionality in ACTR 411/412
- Monitor the Material Library in Glen 103
- Assist with the management of the Material Library
- Assist with gathering student work for display and installation of displays
- Be present and on message during student recruiting events.
- Administrative responsibilities: scanning, copying, record keeping, filing, etc.
- The monitor must report to work on time on the scheduled days.
- The monitor must be in the designated areas while on duty.
- The monitor must complete departmental tasks as assigned, promptly.
- The monitor may offer assistance to students, but not do work for students.
- Electronic time sheets must be completed promptly. When required, hard copy time sheets must be properly completed and provided promptly to the Department Administrative Assistant for processing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:- The monitor must be enrolled as a full-time student at Ringling College of Art and Design as an Entertainment Design major.
- The monitor must be organized, reliable, and able to follow through on assignments.
- Preference is given to 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year students in the Entertainment Design Department.
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENTThe monitor may be employed for both semesters of the academic year. The student monitor arranges his/her hours with the department head.
EVALUATIONEvaluation of student workers will be conducted by the supervisor at the end of both fall and spring semesters.
