PURPOSE: The Kitchen Design Associate is responsible for handling intermediate-level order entry, sales transactions, and quotes. They will build relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers, support outside sales representatives, and demonstrate proficient knowledge of products for promotion and sale. This role aims to enhance operational efficiency and provide optimum customer service by adhering to company policies and utilizing various sales tools effectively.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage customer sales transactions including phone sales and walk-in traffic.
- Provide quotes and process all orders, including stock and special orders.
- Coordinate deliveries and communicate changes to all parties involved.
- Continue developing product knowledge and suggest add-on sales.
- Build relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Follow up with customers and vendors, and direct complaints to appropriate management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

- Basic math skills.

- The ability to use POS system and quoting tools.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to sit, stand, and move within an office or showroom setting for extended periods.
- Vision abilities to include close, distance, peripheral, color and depth differentiation.
- Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- 3+ years of customer service/sales experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
