Position Overview

As an EPC Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of constructing a project, managing a team of field and cost engineers. You should have strong interpersonal and information management skills. In this role, you will be the main conduit of information between the project manager and the team for technical, cost, schedule information. Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of contract plans and specifications for assigned work.
  • Examine/inspect field conditions, identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures, and take corrective actions.
  • Inspect subordinates' work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and software.
  • Manage document control, log new drawings and documents, and maintain logs.
  • Review new drawings and documents for changes, assess impact, and distribute updates.
  • Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow projections.
  • Recommend improvements in project operations, staffing, and procedures.
  • Act as managing project engineer on multiple projects, supervising and training lower-level engineers.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications, visualizing from 2D drawings to 3D.
  • Support and manage the project team, including direct reports.
  • Promote environmental health and safety programs at the project level.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5-10+ years' experience in construction or engineering.
  • Experience managing engineers.
  • Ability to analyze engineering plans and specifications for discrepancies.
  • Motivated, with a passion for excellence and initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of project controls and scheduling.
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed.

  • Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and work overtime or weekends as required.
  • Field roles may involve working at various locations with varying conditions.

Base Compensation: $116,000/yr - $121,000/yr (subject to variation based on education, experience, skills, location).
