Overview
A family in Morristown, NJ is seeking a full-time nanny to join their team and care primarily for their sweet 6-month-old daughter. The family also has a 20-month-old son, cared for by their live-in nanny, though occasional help with him may be needed.
This is an ideal role for a loving, energetic nanny who is confident with infants, understands developmental play, and thrives in a structured home. The ideal candidate is highly engaged, patient, and able to follow routines and family preferences with consistency. The family values warmth, kindness, and a hands-on approach to care.
The household is fully staffed, and mom is a stay-at-home parent. A successful candidate will be comfortable in a formal home environment, respect boundaries, and collaborate well as part of a team of caregivers.
Start date: ASAP
Schedule
- Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (option to stay over Monday evening)
- Thursday & Friday: 7 or 8-hour shifts, flexible start/end times
- Optional: 1 weekend evening babysitting (7:00–11:00 PM) if looking for extra hours
- Optional: Overnight care on Monday evening for baby, if looking for extra hours
- Travel: Domestic & international 6-14 days at a time
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive care for a 6-month-old baby girl
- Maintain and follow structured feeding and nap schedules
- Engage in daily developmental activities: floor time, tummy time, rolling, crawling, sensory play, songs, and reading
- Ensure child is consistently being engaged with
- Baby's laundry, bottles, pump parts, and play spaces kept tidy
- Occasionally assist with toddler when live-in nanny is off duty
- Collaborate with mom on schedules and approaches, respecting consistency in routine
- Driving is not a responsibility for this role as the family would like the nanny to stay within walking distance of their home
Qualifications
- 5+ years of nanny experience with infants and toddlers
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Passport-ready and willing to travel
- Strong ability to follow directions and routines precisely
- Experience in staffed, formal homes a plus
Requirements
- Loving, patient, and engaging — must enjoy floor play and active interaction
- Comfortable working in a formal home alongside other staff
- Respectful of parents' approach (Montessori + gentle parenting with modified sleep training)
- No phone use during work; safety and attentiveness are top priorities

Salary and Benefits
- $35/hr, on the books
- Guaranteed 40 hours/week
- Overtime pay for hours over 40
- 2 weeks PTO (nanny's choice)
