Job Description

As a scientist for a major life sciences company in Eugene, OR, you will work with the Bioproduction Manufacturing team to support the safe and efficient production of fluorescent and non-fluorescent research reagents. You'll be part of a specialized group producing fluorescent probes and reagents that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This hands-on role involves producing and analyzing protein-based products, using advanced separation techniques, interpreting scientific data, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. You'll collaborate across departments to meet quality, safety, and timeline goals.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field
• Experience in a technical manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in HPLC, FPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, column chromatography, and centrifugation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with excellent time management

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ERP inventory systems
• Familiarity with gravimetric separation techniques
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Detail-oriented and proactive in fast-paced environments
