Junior Research Coordinator NYC Hedge Fund

A top NYC Hedge fund is seeking to hire a Junior Research Coordinator to work closely with the Research Coordinators, providing administrative and operational support to the Investment Research team. The ideal candidate is an intrinsically motivated team player who sets high expectations for themselves and has a positive mindset and passion for organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate calendars and logistics for calls, meetings, and HQ visits with public company management teams
  • Manage Outlook calendars for earnings call invites by monitoring and updating earnings call details across distribution lists
  • Act as vendor relationship manager for all existing and new research subscriptions, contracts, and association memberships
  • Schedule, transcribe, and organize department-wide internal meetings, including taking detailed notes, compiling meeting materials and agendas, troubleshooting technical issues, and distributing daily reminders of upcoming calls, meetings, and investor events
  • Coordinate quarterly strategy marketing binders and manage the deliverables spreadsheet for Investment Research, Trading, and Client Development teams
  • Code and monitor entries to the departments central analyst calendar
  • Assist with New Hire Onboarding by compiling and distributing onboarding resources (welcome packets), maintaining and updating the Research Handbook, adding new hires to weekly calls/meetings, and liaising with IT for email distribution lists
  • Support the Training Library by scheduling related events, distributing materials, archiving presentations, requesting legal and compliance approvals, and working with IT to record trainings for future reference
  • Coordinate department-wide engagement activities and off-site events as needed
  • Provide coverage support for administrative professionals across the department

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and approach to all assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
