Job Summary:

Medal is a developer of a short-form gaming video clips platform to share digital game clips and highlights with gamers. The Front-End Engineer will work with a talented team to build high-quality features in React on their Electron app, impacting millions of users and helping scale the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Front-end engineering experience
• Experience with React, Redux, and Electron: Building features with React and understanding modern React practices (and Javascript / NodeJS in general)
• Bonus: full-stack experience including Java, C#, and C++
• In-person: Looking to hire in NYC to contribute alongside the product team. 3+ days in the office
• Ownership & attention to detail: Responsible for end-to-end quality of complex features
• Code Performance: Understanding of code performance implications in production and confident with profiling tools
• Result-driven: Focused on metrics and performance, moving fast and shipping regularly
• Measuring with metrics: Comfortable with A/B testing and analyzing usage metrics
• Gaming: Passion for games and gaming communities; experience with Discord and gaming-related projects is a plus
