Junior Estimator (Heavy Civil Construction) - Cacindinc : Job Details

We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Estimator to join our team in Long Island City, Queens NY. The Junior Estimator will report to the Deputy Chief Estimator and work closely with the estimating team. The main responsibility of the Junior Estimator will be to assist in the preparation of infrastructure bids and estimates by performing takeoffs, creating proposals, conducting research, inputting data, and communicating with subcontractors and partners.

Responsibilities:

• Perform takeoffs efficiently
• Use HCSS and B2W to enter quantities
• Participate in estimate strategy planning sessions
• Participate in all bid review processes
• Aid in product research, subcontractor solicitations, and data entry
• Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Experience in Heavy civil estimating or related field construction
• Proficient in reading heavy civil construction drawings & blueprints
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience using HCSS and B2W preferred
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines
