Gorlick, Kravitz & Listhaus, P.C. is seeking a highly motivated junior attorney to join our ERISA and union-side Labor Law practice. We are an established and expanding law firm with a strong presence in the labor movement. Our work is enjoyable, sophisticated and professionally satisfying.
Responsibilities:
Research and draft memoranda about various ERISA and Labor issues in support of contract negotiations, regulatory compliance and litigation.Advise Taft-Hartley multi-employer plans with respect to ERISA compliant administration of benefit programs and plan design.Draft ERISA compliant benefit plan documents, policies and notices.Attend meetings of Boards of Trustees to take minutes.Support ERISA litigation, NLRB proceedings, arbitrations and grievances on behalf of clients, including drafting notices, pleadings and motions, reviewing discovery and drafting discovery responses.Support corporate and employment law advice and other areas of practice as requested.Qualifications:
0-3 years of experience;Admission to the New York bar;Background or demonstrated interest in ERISA and/or Labor law;Strong research and writing skills;Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);A positive attitude and enthusiasm;A high level of attention to organization and detail;Strong work ethic, reliability and good judgment.If you are interested in joining our team, please send your resume and writing sample to [email protected].
