Have you ever considered the Iowa Judicial Branch as a career path? Now is the time! The 5th Judicial District has an immediate opening for a Judicial Operations Clerk in the Criminal Division of the Polk County Clerk of Court office in Des Moines, Iowa.

The starting salary for new State employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The hourly range for this position is $21.42 - $33.86/hour. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience. This is a contract-covered, FLSA non-exempt position.

Hours: Monday Friday 8:00A 4:30P

Under the supervision of the Clerk of Court, major duties include:

  • Assist court users with resources, equipment, and services
  • Assist the public, attorneys, and court employees with court related matters
  • Perform routine court operations paper and electronic documentation tasks and filing in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensure that all records management practices comply with organizational policies and legal regulations
  • Review, process, update, and publish information, documents and other material for completeness and accuracy

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or high school equivalency diploma).
  • One (1) year of experience in customer service
